Instruction Permits
A Nevada instruction permit is valid for one year.
You must carry a valid learner's permit while driving.
You may learn how to drive with anyone that is 21 years of age and has a license for at least one year.
To obtain an instruction permit, you must:
• Be at least 15½ years old;
• Pass a knowledge test at a DMV of your choice or on the DMV website.
Do not expect your child to respond to your call or message when he/she is driving!
From a Parent point of view, it is far more difficult and frightening than before to insulate kids from Danger. They can no longer protect their children as they become more rebellious to supervision, yet they may not be ready to understand the gravity of their actions and the full impact of the consequences. Learning rules and regulations is MORE important as turning a steering wheel and Parents should supervise their children to make sure they read the topics and are not waiting for the timer to elapse making them redo the quizzes again and again. By" guessing", that confuses the brain and does not accomplish anything.
Young drivers have to face and accept their responsibility to learn rules and regulation and be fully aware that they are holding their own life and the life of their passengers in their hand, as CARS CAN TURN INTO A DEADLY WEAPON.
Just like a sports coach, your job as a parent and driving coach is to teach and stay cool under pressure. Being a good partner and co-pilot will help your teen driver keep it together, too.
