Anyone under 18 years old, a parent is required to be present 15 minutes prior to the road test to sign the log in front of the DMV examiner! Teens – 16 to under 18 years of age will need: A) Learner’s Permit B) 30-Hour Driver’s Ed. Certificate C) Total of 50-hrs driving (40-hrs of driving during the day and 10-hrs of night driving). You’ll need to record your hours in a DMV specific log (called Beginning Driver Training Guide). D) Wait 6 months after receiving your permit in order to apply for your driver’s license.
